TypingSpeed

Get the most out of TypingSpeed

The goal isn't to stare at the keyboard faster.
The goal is to stop looking at it.

We know. It’s hard not to look down.

Your fingers will want you to peek at the keyboard. Try not to. Keep your eyes on the screen and give them time to learn where the keys live. It gets easier.

Not sure which finger to use? We’ve got you.

Follow the Finger Guide while you type. We’ll show you which finger to use and the general direction it needs to move from its home position. You focus on the screen.

Don’t chase speed yet.

Get the movement right first. As your fingers build muscle memory, you’ll naturally get faster. Accuracy first. Speed follows.

We notice what trips you up.

Everybody has keys that cause trouble. When TypingSpeed sees enough repeated first-try mistakes, we can point them out and offer focused practice.

A small sample is limited data, not a permanent weakness. One session doesn’t define you.

Your hands don’t have to follow our rules.

Prefer a different finger for a key? That’s okay. Finger Setup lets you teach TypingSpeed the finger mapping you prefer.

We recommend fingers; we can’t physically detect which finger you actually pressed.

Ready? Keep your eyes up.

You do the typing. We'll help with the rest.
